Stair riser products are printed on highly adhesive vinyl, laminated with a protector that protects the decal against kicking and water damage. Usually, the vinyl can be applied directly to stair risers, but it is possible that a styrene backing will need to be used for proper adhesion. Stair riser decals do not stick to rusted metal stairs, which is why we have a solution for this issue.
